Make Room: Worship

Mar 1, 2026    Pastor Stefen Gage

What do you do when the battle becomes personal?

In this week’s message, we moved from digging ditches (Make Room: Preparation) to facing armies. King Jehoshaphat received devastating news: “A vast army is coming against you.” It was sudden. It was overwhelming. And it was personal, But instead of panicking, he prayed. Instead of fighting first, he worshiped first.

From 2 Chronicles 20, we learned five powerful truths:

🔥 1. Your first response reveals your true worship.

When fear hits, where do you turn?

🔥 2. Powerlessness is positioning.

“We have no power… but our eyes are on You.” Breakthrough begins where self-sufficiency ends.

🔥 3. The battle belongs to the Lord.

If it’s your battle, you carry the pressure. If it’s God’s battle, you carry the posture.

🔥 4. Worship is not preparation for war — it is the war.

“When they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes…” Praise activates heaven.

🔥 5. What you do in the valley determines the peace that follows.

Worship before, during, and after the battle produces rest on every side.

Just like Judah, we don’t fight for victory — we fight from victory, If you feel surrounded today, remember:

The battle is not yours. It belongs to the Lord, lift your voice. Let worship lead the way. 🎶🔥
