Make Room: Prayer
Hannah thought she needed a son, but what God truly wanted was a prophet.
In her deep anguish, Hannah cried out to the Lord with sincerity, surrender, and faith. Her prayer wasn’t just about her personal desire—it aligned with the heart of God. She made her request known to the Lord, and even before the answer came, she walked away with peace.
Through her pain, Hannah entered into covenant with God, vowing that if He gave her a son, she would dedicate him back to the Lord. God honored that covenant. Samuel was born and became a mighty prophet who would shape the future of Israel, But the breakthrough didn’t stop there. Because of her faith and obedience, God blessed Hannah with even more children. Her one prayer opened the door to multiple breakthroughs.
What looked like torment—even the provocation she experienced—became the very thing that pushed her into a deeper, bolder prayer life.
What the enemy meant for evil, God used for His glory. Hannah thought she needed a child.
What she truly needed was God—and when she found Him in prayer, everything changed.
